For the month of November, Trinity Christian Fellowship will be doing a sermon series on the “Lord’s” prayer. We’ll spend five weeks working through Matt. 6:9-15:
Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need,
and forgive us our sins,
as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
And don’t let us yield to temptation,
but rescue us from the evil one.
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Throughout the series we’ll look to Scripture in order to answer the following:
- Is this really the Lord’s Prayer?
- Should we pray the Lord’s Prayer word for word?
- What does it mean to pray for the kingdom to come?
- What does it mean to forgive someone?
- And much more…
We encourage you to invite your friends and family to come and learn how to pray just like Jesus!
