Living

Christianity is much more than just “going to heaven.” In fact, many Christians believe that Jesus simply provides us a “get-out-of-jail-free” card! Unfortunately, this is radically short of what the Gospel actually entails. Faith in Christ is absolutely relevant for eternity, yet it also radically transforms our lives in the present.

The Gospel is about living – period. After all, we are all dead people before God’s mercy. “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ” (Eph. 2:4-5). The Gospel is about living.

Through faith in Christ we are initiated into the Kingdom of God, a kingdom that has eternal relevance now. Thankfully God has provided many means to help us grow as we live obediently our lives in Christ.
