Sunday Mornings
When we gather on Sunday mornings, we spend time singing praise
and worship, praying, and learning the Word of God. We
value everyone that makes up the Body of Christ because the
Scriptures state that everyone has a role to play (1 Cor.
12:12-27). In fact, we love that the Church is a corporate
group that is made up of individuals! Therefore, we look
forward to the involvement of everyone!
Wednesday Evenings
Our Wednesday night is dedicated to equipping God's people. After
approximately forty-five minutes of teaching we break into small
groups and discuss the study and pray for each other.
While the adults are meeting, children in grades K through 6
meet as well. The teachers do a great job to make God's
Word practical and relevant to their lives! Our student
ministry, The Refuge, gathers for the same purpose - to quip
this generation to be lovers of God!
Prayer Gatherings
Perhaps the most important gatherings we have occur for the sake
of prayer. Scratch that, the most important gatherings are
for the sake of prayer! The Scriptures are clear:
|
"If my people who are called by my name humble
themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and
will forgive their sin and heal their land."
- 2 Chronicles 7:14 |
Oh the
power of prayer! We value prayer because it connects us to
God's heart and brings about change within our lives, our
communities, and the world. Evan Roberts, the great Welsh
Revivalist, said, "My call is to call the church to pray. A
church on its knees is invincible." Leonard Ravenhill,
another powerful Revivalist and Evangelist, stated "No man is
greater than his prayer life." We believe these
statements to be great insights into the importance of prayer.
|
"The prayer of a righteous person has great power
as it is working."
- James 5:16b |
