Purposes...
Our
purposes are simply the items we desire to accomplish both as
individuals and as a corporate body of believers. In some ways,
they serve as distinctions between us and other congregations.
We believe that God has created each of the congregations in our
community for a purpose and we celebrate the differences we each
have for the sake of glorifying God best. Therefore, we purpose:
-
To minister as a priesthood to Jesus Christ and
model its benefits by living with extravagant
passion for Jesus;
-
To be a conduit for intense, fervent corporate
worship, praise, and prayer leading to revival
that will impact the nations;
-
To return
to worship in Spirit and Truth through
spontaneous prophetic singing;
-
To renew the ‘Watchman on the Wall’
for Israel (Isaiah 62:6-7);
-
To meet the direct needs of people; for healing
the sick, freeing those in bondage, aiding the
needy, and reaching out to the lost while
lifting up, building up, encouraging, and
strengthening believers;
-
To
restore the spirit of David (wholehearted worship)
and our Jewish roots (John 17:20-21; Eph. 2:11-22;
3:3-6), and
re-establish and model the God ordained offices of
ministry and
God’s way of government as the original blueprint
for the Church (Eph. 4:7-14). This is a
renewal of the apostolic church, whose only
identity is Christ;
-
To
tear down walls of division and unify believers in
our community and worldwide by pushing back
darkness, driving back controlling and religious
spirits, and changing the spiritual paradigm and
dynamic over our local community and thus affecting
the nations. This is a renewal of true unity
which leads to the church standing whole and
together with one voice and testimony to become
one with Jesus as He is one with the Father
(John 17:22);
-
To restore the family unity – Spiritually and
literally (Malachi 4:6);
-
To raise up forerunners in the Spirit of John the
Baptist and Elijah the Prophet whose heart cry is to
‘prepare the way’ for the Lord (Isaiah 40:1-8; Malachi 3:1);
-
To renew an urgency concerning the Second Coming
of Jesus (1 Peter 4:7; 2 Peter 3:12) and towards the
great End-Time Harvest that will occur in those days
(Amos 9:13; Matt. 24:14).
