Linda Wirtala -
Treasurer
Linda Wirtala is the TCF treasurer. She's been serving the
congregation since our beginning and helps us steward the
resources that God brings into our house.
Linda was born in Stanley, WI and earned a B.S. degree in
accounting from UW-River Falls. She is an "only child" and
often winks when she tells people about that!
While in college, Linda spent three weeks touring Europe and
playing concerts with the UW-River Falls symphony band.
She's also been to nearly all the states of the U.S., as well as
Canada and Mexico.
Hobbies:
No question - quilting.
Favorite Superhero:
Barney Fife (I'm too old for Superheroes).
Favorite Bible verse:
Probably the one that changed my life - Acts. 19:2.
Favorite Book(s):
This Present Darkness and Piercing the
Darkness, both by Frank Peretti. They opened my eyes
to the spirit world that I didn't realize existed. Praise
God He can speak to us even through fiction.
Favorite Song:
How about one that is "least favorite?"
There's one that makes me grind my teeth, but I'm working on it.
Favorite Food:
The savory flavors of the Olive Garden.
Favorite Movie:
The Thorn Birds
Personal Quirks (annoying habits):
My husband says it's probably my need for balance,
i.e. 'every debit needs a credit' or 'things need to hang
straight on the wall or 'neatness counts.' He says that
probably bugs people.
Greatest Accomplishment:
Raising four fantastic children. I've enjoyed
every step of their lives. They (and now their families)
are a blessing to me that makes me cry!
Most
Embarrassing Moment:
I came in early on a song and the rest of the choir
took it as a solo. The pianist adjusted and I sang the
whole verse alone. Ray Miller taped it so it's on video in
the TCF library! It's up to you to find it!
Goals
& Aspirations:
To live a long healthy life and never have to go to
the hospital again and to know I led someone to the Lord.
